What is eyemmersive’s goal?

Scientific visualization with emphasis on space and astronomy applications.

What is our vision?

The scientific visualizer’s role is where art, science and public outreach meet one another. As the field of science continues to grow there will always be a need for helping the public understand the latest discoveries in the universe around them. One of the most effective ways to do so is through visualization.

Where can such visualizations be used?

Typically by immersive fulldome theaters, planetariums, museums, even science and technology centers. But that’s not all; we can even provide imagery to book and magazine publishers, sound studios and TV and film production companies. We also have extensive experience in dealing with scripts, editing, original writing, translating, versioning and soundtrack production plus more. The best way to see how we can help you is to take a look at what eyemmersive has to offer.

What is eyemmersive?

We’re both a brand new company, but we’ve also been around awhile. Our founder, Tom Callen, has almost 40 years of intensive experience as an astronomer/program producer working at some of the world’s best known planetariums; Abrams Planetarium, Strasenburgh Planetarium, the Smithsonian Institution’s Albert Einstein Planetarium and most recently Cosmonova at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (SMNH), Stockholm where he was involved with both its start-up in 1991 as well as its conversion to a digital theater in 2008. During his nearly 20 years of employment with SMNH he produced Cosmonova’s in-house planetarium shows, performed public outreach, contributed original astronomy content to its web site and from 2006 to 2010 versioned the soundtracks for Imax, 3D film and fulldome video presentations. In recognition of his service to the planetarium community, he was made a Fellow of the International Planetarium Society in 1996.
